As New Zealand has officially moved into lockdown Level 3 - Restrict, we can start looking forward and answer questions around booking requests.

 

To date, we have received some enquiries for forward bookings from guests looking to travel for summer 2020/2021. So, to offer you more guidance on the lockdown levels and what this may look like for you, we have outlined the stages below:


FOR OUR OWNERS


Level 3 - Restrict 

The New Zealand Government has advised that during Level 3 - Restrict, community transmission might occur. Therefore inter-regional travel is highly limited (e.g. for essential workers only). During Level 3, you cannot take any new bookings. However, if essential workers require a vehicle or someone needs a vehicle to self-isolate, you can contact our friendly team to discuss the opportunity.

 

Level 2 - Reduce

People are advised to avoid non-essential inter-regional travel. However, you can take bookings during this period, if the guest is to travel within the region the vehicle was collected.

 

Safe practices must remain in place, including social distancing of 2 metres during handover, as well as a high level clean and a 72-hour stand down period between drop-off and the following pick-up. 

 

Level 1 - Prepare

This is business as usual or (un)usual. There are no travel restrictions on domestic transport and you can take/execute bookings. Again, it is imperative that you continue to practice safe cleaning and follow social-distancing during handover. 

 

At this stage, there is still plenty of uncertainty. We don't have an exact timeline for when we expect to move into Level 2 or Level 1, so we ask that you please use your discretion when accepting new booking requests and be aware of the Mighway cancellation policies.

Level 3 - Restrict

During Level 3, you cannot make any new bookings. However, if you are an essential worker requiring a vehicle or you need a vehicle to self-isolate, you can contact our friendly team to discuss the opportunity.

Mighway Covid-19 Cancellation Policy: 


Guests can travel with ease with our no change fees and free cancellation for all travel up to 31 March 2021. This policy is valid for bookings made after 01 October 2020 for travel prior to 31 March 2021. Free cancellation applies to any bookings where guests are unable to travel due to Covid-19 restrictions. Date changes are subject to vehicle availability, owner approval and any difference in the daily rental rate may apply. Bookings are non-transferable, and normal cancellation fees will apply should you cancel your booking during Alert Level 1 and 2.
